#PictureDiary: El Yunque National Forest, Puerto Rico

DSC_2359.jpg

During my trip to Puerto Rico, we rented a car to visit El Yunque National Rainforest. I'm very very far from a nature enthusiast but my trip to El Yunque was so captivating! The rainforest was definitely intimidating at first glance. While there are many trails you can walk we chose the shortest one.The 45-minute walk to one of waterfalls was so serene. The waterfall didn’t fall short of my expectations as it flowed between the rocks and trees. I felt as if I literally escaping to a hidden part of the world. The sun glistened as the tree branches towered over me. Normally I prefer blue skies and clear water but the collection of various green hues were fascinating. I was fearful at first but when I left the rainforest, I was more than thankful for the opportunity to see such a tropical beauty.

Below are all of the pictures I captured.
